Large Reclaimed Wood Mailbox Post with Address

How it's made:

Posts/frames - Made from Redwood 4x4 and 2x4 posts, making it naturally more resistant to rot, weather and insects. It is then painted with several coats of a durable, exterior paint.

Center panels (2 sides) - Made from reclaimed cedar/redwood fence planks, which are also naturally more resistant to rot, weather and insects. Each slat is carefully selected for its features and durability. The planks go through a rigorous process of straightening and cleaning to take off the top layer of wear and tear, but leaving some of its character and charm visible.

Numbers (2 sides) - CNC cut from half inch, tight grained hardwoods, then stained to provide contrast against the reclaimed wood panels.

Finish - One of the most important steps in providing durability, the panels and numbers are protected by coats of Spar Urethane. This gives it extra protection against water and UV damage. You may need to refresh this protection eventually depending on your environment

Options:

Black - The product will come already painted and finished in semi gloss black and ready for installation.

Pick your own color - Customers who prefer their mailbox post to match existing colors of their home can pick the color to be painted. This requires them to send me a predefined color that we can get mixed from a local hardware store (the orange or blue one preferably).

Providing your own numbers - This option gives the customer the freedom to use their own choice of numbers. The panels are removable, making installation of the numbers easier. Do note, the height of the panel is 30 inches, so make sure you size your numbers appropriately with enough padding around each number. Floating style numbers look best.

Installation:

The mailbox post will come with approximately 10 inches of post from the bottom crossbeam.  This allows you to install it directly inground, or cut off what you don't need. This is a heavy piece, so if it decides to start leaning, it's not gonna stop. It is recommended to utilize cement when installing the post. Only the back of the post needs to be secured, but it is highly recommended that the front of the post has it's weight supported to prevent future sag.  It is also recommended that you coat or paint any exposed wood from cutting, to close the pores of the wood and prevent it from soaking up water.

 Tip: Concrete piers make installation a breeze.

Mailbox is not included. The front of the back post to the front of the piece measures 18 inches. Do take this into consideration when selecting your mailbox.
